Mr Ceri Morgan

Solicitor

Ceri has lived in Maesteg all his life and has always worked at King Davies and Partners. He studied Law at the University of Leicester and qualified as a Solicitor in 1981. He was first of all employed by King Davies and Partners as a Solicitor before becoming a partner in 1985. Ceri specializes in residential/commercial conveyancing together with Wills, Probate, Elderly Care Issues, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Tenancy Agreements. Ceri was the first Solicitor in the Llynfi Valley to become a Member of Solicitors for the Elderly and led the firm in gaining the Conveyancing Quality Scheme Membership.

Madeline Rand

Madeline Rand joined King Davies and Partners on 8th May 2018 taking over from Philippa David. Madeline specializes in Family Law.

Lyn Morgan

Legal Secretary to Mr Ceri Morgan

Lyn joined the firm in September 1970 when she was 16 years old as a Receptionist just after leaving school. She worked for the original Partners of the firm. Over the years she has worked in various departments including the Conveyancing Department, Accounts and the Halifax Building Society Department (King-Davies & Partners were the Agents).

Lyn has lived in Maesteg all her life. She is married with one son. In her spare time she enjoys going for walks, gardening and also occasional weekends away.

In September 2015 Lyn has been with the firm for over 45 yrs!

Julie Lloyd

Legal Secretary to Mr Ceri Morgan

Julie has worked at King-Davies & Partners since 2000 as Mr. Morgan’s Secretary previously having worked as a Secretary at other local law firms.

Kayleigh McCarthy

Legal Secretary to Mr Ceri Morgan

Kayleigh joined the firm in August 2006 whist she was studying for her NVQ in Business Management. In January of 2007 she was taken on as a Receptionist to cover maternity leave and was then given a full time contract in August 2007. She then went on to become the Firm’s Cashier in 2009. The following year an opportunity arose for Kayleigh to train as a Legal Secretary whilst covering maternity leave and in 2012 she was made permanent as Legal Secretary and she now works for Ceri Morgan. Kayleigh has now been with the firm for  over 10 yrs.

In her spare time Kayleigh enjoys spending time with her partner and children. She also enjoys catching up with friends.

Shona Pszenycznyj

Cashier/Reception/Secretary to Mr Ceri Morgan

Shona joined the firm as a Trainee Receptionist in April 2010 and was taken on full time in the August that same year. She was then appointed as a Cashier/Receptionist and was made full time in the position in 2011. Shona then covered as a Secretary to Mr Ceri Morgan, covering Maternity leave on a full time basis. Shona is now back in reception where she divides her time as a Receptionist, Cashier and Secretary to Mr Ceri Morgan. Shona has now been with the firm for over 8yrs.

Shona has lived in Maesteg all her life and attended the local Comprehensive School. Shona is a proud mother to her little girl and enjoys spending her time with her family. She also enjoys socializing with her friends.

Louise Hopkins

Legal Secretary to Madeline Rand

Louise has worked at King-Davies and Partners for over 25 years.  She is a Legal Secretary for Madeline Rand having previously worked for Philippa David who specializes in Family Law.  She has experience in communicating with clients both in person and on the telephone; she can arrange appointments and also home visits for Madeline and can also help clients when Madeline is not in the office.

Louise also works for Mr. Ceri Morgan and has experience in both family and conveyancing matters

Jonathan Owens

Office & Accounts Manager

Jonathan joined the firm when he was 18yrs old as a trainee while doing his NVQ in Business Admin. He was taken on full time in March 2001 as a receptionist. He then became the Cashier before being offered the job to become the Office Accounts Clerk and was trained by the previous Accounts Clerk before taking the Job on a full time basis. Jonathan was then made the Office Manager by the Partners in October 2007. He has now been with the firm for over 18 yrs. Jonathan has lived in Maesteg all his life and attended the Welsh school of Ysgol Gyfun Llanharri Comprehensive. Jonathan is married and he and his Wife have two sons. Jonathan is a keen sports fan and has played rugby and football for local sides in the Valley. Jonathan is now coaching his sons football teams with Llangynwyd Rangers.

Sophie McCarthy

Receptionist

Sophie has been with the firm for 5 yrs now. Sophie first came to the firm on work experience whilst in school but made such a good impression that the firm invited her back to cover Maternity leave after her exams. Sophie was made full time by the firm after the Maternity leave had ended and is now our full time receptionist. Sophie is from Croeserw in the Upper Afan Valley. She enjoys going out and socializing with her friends, going to the Cinema and spending time with her niece and nephew.
